Toddle Along Tuesday | Mom Confessions

I was really excited for this week's topic, because I thought it would be fun to get some things off of my chest.  However, when I sat down to actually write it, I totally blanked.  I'm sure once I publish this post, I will think of a hundred more things I should have added to this list!

  • Now that E is increasingly mobile, we have set up the Pack-n-Play in the living room and use it to contain her as needed.  I lovingly refer to it as "the baby cage".
  • Sometimes I blow in E's face to make her smile in photos.
  • I get irrationally angry when people I don't know/don't like try to talk to or touch E.
  • Last week, I was changing E on the changing table and she wiggled out of my grasp and fell the approximately three feet to the floor.  It was the first time something like that has happened, and it was entirely my fault.  She is fine, but it really scared all of us and I felt like the shittiest mom ever for days.
  • Most days that I am home with E, I wear the pajamas/sweat pants that I slept in for the entire day.  And I don't even feel guilty about it.
  • Even though we started co-sleeping out of sheer necessity to survive, I actually really like it and will miss E's warm little body snuggling next to me when we finally do transition her to her crib.
  • I will let E kiss me on the mouth and put her fingers in my mouth, but I would freak the hell out if anyone else (besides S) tried to do it.
  • I totally judge people who buy vowels on Wheel of Fortune.
  • ... I watch Wheel of Fortune.  And I'm not 80 years old.  I swear.
  • And most nights, I let E watch it too (even though I really try to limit her screen time during the rest of the day).

Well that's probably plenty for now.  I wouldn't want you to know all of my secrets.  ;-)  What are some of your mom confessions?

  1. Lk loves it when he puts his fingers in my mouth. He laughs so hard when I eat his whole hand. Gross but the laugh is the best!

    1. E loves it too! She always shoves them in my mouth while she's nursing and cracks up when I "eat" them. Too funny!

  2. I LOVE Wheel of Fortune too. I'm pretty darn good at it too...if talking it out was allowed.

    1. Me too! I've been trying to get on it forever (via the application on their website) but no luck yet. S says its because they know I would bankrupt them. haha!

  3. Wheel of Fortune is awesome, as is Bingo and eating dinner at 4:30pm. I can't wait to be 80. This is a great topic!

    1. LOL, some days we also eat dinner at 4:30 pm. You're right, 80 doesn't seem so bad! ;-)

  4. I Love Wheel of Fortune! Although I did start watching it when I lived with my 80 year old grandparents... :) I never intended to co-sleep either, but I started to with Audrey because it's just way easier to get sleep that way! And I'm loving it also.

  6. My parents watch Wheel of Fortune every night & my hubby makes fun of them. What he doesn't know is that I enjoy watching it with them too & we always try to one up the other to see who can solve the puzzle first! We let Rex watch it too. But he loves letters so I think it's OK :)
