Thankful

For S and our marriage.  Despite our ups and downs, I am so thankful he has chosen to stick with me, for better or worse.

For E.  I cannot put into words how much I love her, and how much better my life has been since she has been a part of it.

For my job, and that we are in a financial situation which allows me to be home with E most days of the week.  It is such a blessing and I am so grateful for this time with her.

For my health, and my family's health.

For my family.

For our friends who feel like family.

I am truly blessed.

  1. This is so hard! Not tons of advice but just support. We did really like the book "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" - can't remember if I mentioned that one before or not? All in all though, it's tough but it will get better! Does she go down OK for other people when you are not around? I know when I would work the night shift a few weeks in a row and Henry had slipped back into frequent night feeds, after a few days he realized mommy wasn't around so better off just to sleep through the night! It sort of reset him. Maybe having someone help with naps for a couple days may break the cycle?? You could go drink at a bar during these times :)

    1. Haha, don't worry, I found your comment. ;-) I haven't read that book yet, but a friend just got it and I plan to borrow it from her when she is finished. We have tried the No-Cry Sleep Solution, The Sleep Lady shuffle, and Ferber and the only one we had any success with was the Sleep Lady shuffle.

Before she got so mobile, she would go down for S, but now she won't go down for him either. The only other person who has ever attempted to put her down for naps is our babysitter, and E will NOT go down in the babysitter's pack-n-play, the babysitter has to put her in the stroller and rock her back and forth to get her to nap over there! We have a very determined little lady, it seems!
