Update on me

So, I have a confession to make.  I've been working on something and not shared about it on this blog.

(I know, I know, I feel like I've been on a "confession" kick lately.  Sorry about that.  Don't worry, this one is is a good thing!)

A few weeks ago, I took the plunge and started my own law firm.

I have always done legal work on my own here and there, even while working various other jobs.  Then, after the implosion of my former law firm, I seriously debated just starting my own firm.  Last month, I finally decided to do it and filed the required paperwork with the state.  Over the last few weeks I have been hammering out all of the details, and I'm finally ready for business.  Its a good thing too, because in the past three weeks, I've already acquired three clients!

As far as E and my life at home goes, not much will be changing.  I am working out of a home office and will still be home with E the majority of the time.  I will also still be working at my part-time job with the government agency two days per week, like I have been doing.  (Yes, they know about my law practice and no, it is not a conflict.)

So, that is what I have been up to.  In reality, not much will really be changing for me, but I am excited to have finally made a decision and to be taking my practice to the next level.  :-)

    1. Thanks! And you should totally do it! It is nerve-wrecking to put yourself out there, but as long as you've kept your license current, it hardly costs anything to get started. I would be happy to talk with you about it if you want to shoot me an email. sahattorney at gmail dot com :-)
